with respect to CASSE

Responsible Scientist: D. Möhlmann, DLR Institute of Space Simulation, Cologne Germany

(Foot-Scheme)

The design of the Lander's feet with integrated acoustic
transmitters and receivers.

In a collaboration between the DLR Institute of Spacesimulation, Cologne, and the Fraunhofer-Institute for Non-Destructive Testing, Saarbrücken, Germany, piezo-electric acoustic transmitters are beeing under development, which integrated into the feet allow to couple acoustic waves into the comet's surface.
